Man attacked with knife outside Dunelm

A man was attacked with a knife outside Dunelm on Whitworth Road, Rochdale on Monday afternoon (16 October).

The man was assaulted by three men outside the home furnishings store at around 2pm.

He was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “At around 2pm on Monday 16 October 2017, police were called to reports of an assault at a shop on Whitworth Road in Rochdale.

Officers attended and found that three men had assaulted a man with a knife.

He received minor injuries and was treated at the scene, while the other men fled in an unknown direction.

“Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting incident number 1116 of 16/10/17. This can also be done anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
