Rochdale says ‘ale’ to the King for the coronation weekend with return of ale trail

With an extra Bank Holiday for the King’s Coronation, make the most of the long weekend with the return of the Rochdale Ale Trail.

Raise a glass to King Charles III over the weekend of 4-8 May and enjoy Rochdale’s finest in a host of award-winning pubs and bars.

Rochdale town centre is gaining a reputation as the Northern powerhouse for food and drink, and with over 100 ales and ciders to be sampled over five days, it’s certainly easy to see why!

Now a firmly established event in the local calendar, the Ale Trail has proved time and time again that our town centre absolutely knows a thing or two about cask ale! Previous events have shown that the event draws not only locals, but those from out of town, impressed with both the fantastic real ale offer and the ongoing town centre transformation.

With the majority of cask ale provided by local suppliers, you won't find a better offer anywhere else – the event is even supported by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), and their vision is to have quality real ale, cider and thriving pubs in every community.

Expect CAMRA’s most excellent beers at participating venues, including The Baum, The Medicine Tap, The Flying Horse, Hoochi Koochi, Hogarths, The Pint Pot, The Regal Moon, The Cask and Feather, D’ale House and Bombay Brew.

Enjoy at least one drink – it’s hard, we know – in all of the venues to collect a unique commemorative ale trail t-shirt, available in medium to XL.

Just don’t forget to collect your stamp card (available from any participating venue) and unique stamps before you head off on your merry way.

Simply collect your shirt in the last venue when you’ve finished your drink.

Terri Heron, owner of the Cask and Feather, is looking forward to the occasion, and welcoming new and returning ale trailers to town.

She said: "Once again it is brilliant to part of the popular and growing Ale Trail. The event is great way to get out about over the long Coronation weekend and visit the fantastic array of local pubs/bars in Rochdale town centre.

There are five meals for two to be won, one for each day of the Ale Trail.
