Hopwood Hall College’s upcoming open event explores the exciting world of apprenticeships

Date published: 27 January 2023

Hopwood Hall College and University Centre is holding its much-anticipated Apprenticeships Open Event.

It promises to be the perfect opportunity for people of all ages to learn more about this popular training route when it takes place from 4.30pm-7pm on Wednesday 8 February.

Held at its Middleton Campus, attendees will be able to hear from the college’s expert work-based tutors, meet a variety of local employers and even find out about current vacancies.

It could mark the start of an exciting journey into a new career – whether that’s for Year 11s looking for their post-school pathway or adult learners looking to retrain.

Apprenticeships famously allow people to ‘earn as you learn’ and have provided countless trainees with the ultimate platform to begin a long and prosperous career.

Hopwood’s apprenticeship offering has grown considerably in recent years and now includes more training routes than ever before.

This includes pathways in Early Years, Engineering, Accounting, Veterinary Nursing and many more.

In fact, the college recently announced the launch of a new national apprenticeship that can be undertaken remotely from anywhere in England.

The Level 3 Apprenticeship in Fire, Emergency and Security Systems will be available through distance learning and will build on the success of the in-person course that’s taught at the college’s state of the art Technology Centre.

Crista Wilkieson, director of apprenticeships at Hopwood Hall College, said: “No matter your age or current skillset, we’d love to extend an invite to you for our upcoming Apprenticeships Open Event.

“This training route has proven to be the ideal way to gain new skills and kick-start a fresh career for so many people – and it can for you too!

“If you’ve ever considered becoming an apprentice, then be sure to join us at the event to explore the amazing opportunities that are right on your doorstep.”

The Apprenticeships Open Event takes place at the Middleton Campus on Wednesday 8 February from 4.30-7pm.
