Date published: 09 December 2022

Tasty festive food and a day of free seasonal entertainment is on the way soon when the Street Eat festival returns.  A mouth-watering Christmas edition of the popular event is being held on Saturday 17 December, with the best of the town’s food and drink establishments on the menu.

The Butts area next to the river in the town centre will be transformed into a winter wonderland with alpine huts and local traders offering festive fayre, mulled wine and other seasonal drinks, music and Santa - it’s going to be one big Christmas party.

Food from local eateries will be served with dozens of dishes all at £5 or less including, Italian, Indian, English, American, German, Mexican and more.

“Rochdale offers wonderful hospitality at this time of year so Street Eat will be a welcome addition with a festive atmosphere and delicious food and drink for you to enjoy.

“It’s family-friendly, great value and open all day so you can call down for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and it will be a great opportunity to meet up with friends before your night out or earlier in the day for a break during your Christmas shopping.”
